[Texts and content](https://support.geins.io/cross-border?hsLang=en#texts-and-content) # Working with translations ## This article gives a general guide on working with translations thru out Merchant Center  If your webshop supports multiple languages, you can manage translations in Merchant Center in a few ways. You can translate specific pages such as products, categories, or brands, or use the import tool to update translations in bulk. Here’s a quick guide on how to find and manage translations. Some areas also includes links ### Translating Products, Categories, and Brands Each product, category, or brand has a **Translate** tab to manage text translations. 1. **Go to the Translate Tab: I**n the Translate tab, you’ll see the default language text on the left and fields for the selected language on the right. 2. **Select a Language:** Use the **"Translation to"** dropdown to choose your target language. 3. **Make Edits and Save:** After editing the fields, click **Save**. **Translatable Fields** - Basic text fields and meta information can be translated for products, categories, and brands. - For products, additional fields with free text (parameter type: Text) are also eligible for translation. ![translate](https://support.geins.io/hs-fs/hubfs/translate.jpg?width=665&height=511&name=translate.jpg) ### Bulk Translations via Import Tool Bulk translation updates via the import tool is available for products and categories.  **For Categories:** 1. Prepare a file with columns: **Name**, **LanguageId**, and the text fields you wish to translate (e.g., **Name**, **Description**, **MetaTitle**, **MetaDescription**). 2. Go to **Import Tool > New**, upload your file, choose **Category** as the template type, map the columns, and start the import. **For Products:** 1. Prepare a file with columns: **Name**, **Language**, and text fields (**Text1**, **Text2**, **Text3**). 2. Go to **Import Tool > New**, upload your file, select **Product** as the template, choose **Insert/Update**, map the columns, and start the import. --- ### Campaign Translations The ability to translate campaigns varies by type: - **Promo Codes:** No translatable fields. - **Cart-based Campaigns:** The campaign title is translatable. Use the language selector (flag icon) next to the title. - **Product Price Campaigns:** The campaign title and, if a landing page is created, the title, description, and meta fields can be translated.   ![landingpage](https://support.geins.io/hs-fs/hubfs/landingpage.jpg?width=665&height=330&name=landingpage.jpg) **Note:** A landing page can only be created if the campaign includes a specific product selection (not all products).   --- ### Menus Due to it´s nature, menus can include predefined items (like category names) and custom links with text added directly in the menu. Translation methods may vary based on the item type.
