Working with article import in an Product price campaign (price campaign)

How to work with article import to make your product selection effective when you are creating a product price campaign.

Article Import is an effective way to make your product selection when you are creating a product price campaign. This makes it possible for an example for smooth management of placing in many different discount prices or percentages on products in one or the same campaign.  

Prepare file for import 

To be able to make an article import you need to have an excel file ready. Shall all products in a campaign have the same discount (discount percentage) which you put in in the first step when you create your campaign where the file only needs to contain a column with the products ID in Merchant Center or article number. 

If you want to set specific campaign prices or percentages on products you need to have a column for it (read more below about this function). 

Settings in a article import 

The article import can be found in the stage Product selection when you create your campaign. There are a couple of choices you need to make for the article import.

• ID type= Here you choose if it's the products id number (product Id in Merchant Center) or article number (field Article number on a product) that the file reads in to identify the products in the file.  
• ID column number= Which colum id or article number is in. 
• File includes discount column = If the file contains a column with specific campaign prices or percentages per product (read more Below about this function) 
• File includes header row = If the file contains a first header line 

Setting specific discount prices or percentage discounts on products 

When you create a price campaign, you set in the first step (1.settings) the percentage you want the products to have in the campaign as discount. You can also change/exceeded this by placing specific percentages in the product selection list, either manually, directly in the list or in your import file when you make a article import. 

You can make an article import through the following: 

• Add a column in the import file that contains either the discount price or the percentage that will be discounted on the product. If you write a number like 150 then it will be set as campaign price (campaign price) on the product. If you write a percentage then it will be set as the percentage (discount %) that the product will be discounted with.
  
  
  
  
• lick in the choice File includes discount column and state which column in the file the discount is stated. In the example file above, the column number is 2
  
  
  
  
• If the file contains a header row (header row) click in the checkbox File includes header row. The example file above contains e.g a header row (where it the column name id and Discount is written)
• Under file upload, choose your file and upload it. 
• Click then on Save selection down to the right. 
• In the list under Product selection there are products that the import matched and on the rows you see the discount given, applied on the products. 
  
  
  
  

To save the campaign, click on Save campaign.
