Placing costumer's in a customer group can be done in two different ways. In on the customer view for the current customer under Customer's or via the import tool. Below is a description of the two different ways.
On customer view
- Go in on the customer view for the customer you want to place in a customer group
- In the field Customer group are all other customer groups that have been created. Choose the customer group you want the customer to be in.
- Click on Save.

Via import tool
If you quickly want to add more customers in a customer group you can do it via the import tool. In Merchant Center there is an import template which we recommend you use. Download it by:
- In Merchant center go into: Import tool in the left menu and click on New.
- Choose template type: Customer/Member (Beta)
- Click then on download file template.
You need to at least fill in the colum Id to match a customer with a customer group. Then it's the field Customer Group you will fill in. In this field you fill in the Id the customer group has. The Id can be found in the column Member ID in the groups list.

When you are done with your file the next step is to make the import through the following step:
- In Merchant Center go into: Import Tool in the left menu and click on New.
- Choose the file you want to import.
- Choose template type: Customer/Member (Beta)
- Make sure that the id field and customer group field has matches
- Click on Start import.
When the import is done you will see to the right on how the import went so you can ensure that the rows were imported correctly.
