Example of using priority for customer and group exclusive campaigns

Cart-based campaigns with customer and group exclusive discounts

This article shows a example on how to manage priority when setting up customer-exclusive campaigns.

  • Set High Priority for Customer Exclusives:
If you want a customer-exclusive discount to always apply, assign it to your highest priority, such as 3 for example. (This leaves room for higher priorities (1 and 2) for future exceptions). But here you work with the levels you prefer.

  • Prevent Double Discounts:
To avoid multiple discounts on products in the cart, check the box "Don't combine with lower-priority cart-based campaigns." This ensures that no lower-priority campaign will apply to the same products.

  • Example Scenarios:

    • Wide Discount: If you set the customer-exclusive to give the customer a 10% discount on all products, it will always apply since it covers your entire product range.
    • Targeted Discount: If you instead offer a 50% discount on shoes through a customer-exclusive campaign. Then the customer can still benefit from another campaign, such as "Buy 2, for 1" on shirts, since it applies to different products.
