With the menu editor, you have the opportunity to create and edit menus in various locations within your storefront. To create a menu, follow these steps. The following example below demonstrates creating a main menu.
Go to Content (CMS) > Menus > and press Create Menu.
Then name your menu, for example "Main Menu".
You can either add Categories, Brands, Pages (which you have created as standalone pages in the CMS) or a Custom link by pressing "Add menu items"
You may also import the whole category tree which you created in Products (PIM) > Categories.
This will give you the structure you have already setup directly. You may also rename the categories and drag and drop them to create a different structure.
Renaming and drag categories won't change the breadcrumb and the category structure which you created in Products (PIM) > Categories.
Next step is to decide where the menu shall be placed in your store front, you can choose between. The locations available is set by your page design & configuration. Base locations are Main - Desktop, Main - Mobile, Footer - First, Footer - Second, Footer - Third, Top bar and Info pages. You may have the same menu on all however it's not recommended.
Last step is to decided which channel the menu should belong to and which language.
Press "Save" and you menu will be published in your store.
