You can even update parameters on products via the import tool. Here we have developed an already finished template you can work with to smoothly update the parameter values. This is done through the following:
In Merchant Center go into: Import Tool > New
- If you have a file ready, click on select file directly and choose the file you want to import. Set which type of file to be uploaded by choosing the file type in the drop down File Extension and click on Next. ( go directly to the next step in this guide here)
Use the import template for product parameters
If you want to work with the import template in product parameters, start with downloading the template file. It can be downloaded through the drop down Template Type choose Product parameters and thereafter click on download template file.
Below follows a description of existing columns
(There is also a short description in Merchant Center under View template description)
| ProductId | Id for the product which parameters shall be imported to |
| ProductName | The products name. Mandatory if the Id isn't filled. Can be left empty if Id exists. |
| ParameterGroup | The name on the parameter group. It's set in the field Group Name on a parameter group |
| ParameterName |
The name of the parameter. The field Name on a parameter |
| Value | The value you want the product to have on it's parameter. Needs to be matched to existing values if it's a type picker or multipicker |

When your file is done
- Click on Import Tool in the menu. Click thereafter on New to make a new import.
- Choose what file you want to import
- Choose file type in the File extension drop down
- Choose template type: Product Parameters
- Click on Next
- Ensure that the columns that are named in the article är mapped against the systems columns
- Click on Start import
When the import is done and existing rows are imported then the products parameters and parameter values shall be updated
