Manage Product Relations with the Import Tool

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Template

• Go to Import Tool in the menu and click New.

• Choose RelatedProducts from the template type dropdown.

• Download the template file to your computer.

2. Complete the Template

• ProductId: Enter the ID of the main product.

• ProductName: Include the name if you prefer matching by name (note: ID matching is faster).

• Type: Provide the name of the existing relation type (must match exactly).

• Related1–Related6: Input up to six product IDs you want to link.

• RelatedCSV: For more than six related IDs, use comma-separated values in this field only.

• Remove: Add value remove to remove either all or specic product (read more below)

3. Upload and Apply

• Save your updated file.

• Upload it via the import tool to apply the changes. The relationships will be created or updated as specified.

How to Remove Product Relations

You can remove product relations in two different ways using the Remove column:

Remove all relations of a specific type
To remove all related products of a specific relation type for a product:

• Fill in the ProductId (or ProductName)

• Add the Type of relation you want to remove

• Set the Remove column to Remove

• Leave the related product columns (Related1–6 or RelatedCSV) empty

Result: All relations of that type will be removed from the product.

Remove specific related products
To remove only certain related products from a relation type:

• Fill in the ProductId (or ProductName)

• Add the Type of relation

• Add id(s) for the the specific related products to remove in Related1–6

• Set the Remove column to Remove

Result: Only the listed related products will be removed from that relation type.
